Anyone here affected by the wildfires?

Two of my Stillwater friend
Were in the line of fire yesterday.

One got the order to evacuate,,,
So he took his wife and three kids to a friends home.

He went to his neighborhood this morning,,,
His house is undamaged but just one mile away several homes were lost.

The other was right on the edge of an evacuation zone,,,
They loaded their cars with heirlooms and essential personal items,,,
Fortunately the fires didn't come close enough for the nine of them to evacuate.

I live in Ripley and there was one fire in the Coyle/Langston area that worried me,,,
The smoke plume was directly over my town so I was in it's path,,,
Fortunately it never got close to my residence.

I need a better plan for evacuation.

I worked several wildfires and evacuated my home twice when living in Colorado. I'm not sure there's anything more terrifying than a wildfire.
We have been through flood, tornado, hurricane, ice where the pipes froze and flooded and a house fire.
They all suck. We survived, only loss was stuff. No injuries to Wif and kids.
Wouldn't wish it on anyone, but it could be worse.

Glad to hear our group made it through.
