AR/AK Pistol/Rifle for Car/truck gun?

personally if i had a vehicle with a trunk on it id get a cheap old 12 gauge and keep it in the trunk at all times with some shells inside the actual cab of the car - both hidden somewhere.

i think its a little extreme to keep a rifle caliber in the car but of course i live in the city. so its just personal choice, i think a good pistol gripped mossberg 500 or something would serve the role just as good if not better.

You realize that most of these conversations about possible civil unrest and the need for a rifle are about people who live "in the city"

a Mossberg Persuader (think that was the name for that pistol gripped beast ) - is a nasty, ill handling thing that would take quite a bit of dedicated practice to adjust to handling (Shockwaves and the like too)

Not you necessarily , but a lot of fear based comments in this thread about -- "OMG , what happens if the bad guy steals mah gun? "
