AR barrel nut questions

I have built quite a few ARs over they years but this one is giving me some problems and I think I know the answer but I want to ask here first.
The gun is a 20 incher with a .920 fluted barrel I was wanting to use my Troy 13.5 MRFX quad rail but this style rail fixes to a stock barrel nut with the delta ring removed. A "stock" barrel nut will not fit over the .920 barrel and so far I cant find anything that would make this combo work any input for you guys would be helpful.

Are you assuming a "stock" nut won't work or have you already tried?

Yes I tried it and it was a no go.

What kind of handguard does it currently have on it?

It has a set of YHMs that thread onto a YHM barrel nut with a jam nut. I had a "stock" barrel nut from another build and I could not get it to fit right. I had the troys leftover and they are of way better quality than the YHM so I was just going to do the swap and ran into problems.

The YHM should be the same diameter internally as a stock nut so I don't know why it won't fit.
