Personally, I think those that want to do their "auditing," whether it be for 1A or 2A reasons or any other, are just maybe a step or a half-step below the "sovereign citizens." In almost every case, they seem to be trying to provoke encounters with authority, mostly to get themselves "known" on YouTube.
A wrong encounter could put them in a grave where there is no YouTube to watch.
I disagree. Of all the 1st and 4th Amendment audits I see on the Tube none are sovereign citizens or even want to be compared to sovereign citizens. IMHO the auditors are trying to exercise their constitutional rights while educating LEO's. If you watch some of the videos you would be amazed on how many LEO's try to circumvent a person's civil rights because they are doing something that they personally do not like or approve. Let's face it.....videos have brought out the best and worst in people. A lot of LEO's have gotten reprimanded, demoted and fired because of their confrontations with civilians where they were caught abusing a person's civil rights on video. I advocate a person's right for exercising their civil rights even if I don't personally agree with it. You would be amazed at the number of LEO's that find a person exercising their civil rights as "uncooperative" or "unreasonable" because they are not getting their way with unlawful commands. There are literally thousands of videos on the Tube so these are not uncommon reactions with LEO's. The Edmond encounter was a stupid way of exercising the 2nd Amendment right and frankly any group that would approve of this method does not have my support.
