I have seen a caseing stuck in the barrel and would not come out. Causing the owner to buy a new barrel. !

I'm having a hard time understanding why a stuck case would require a new barrel?
Its a very simple process to remove any stuck case from a chamber.

Is there more to the story? Did he try a cutting torch to melt the brass out of it?

My experience with the wolf and other russian 223 ammo is that shooting it in a non chrome lined chamber is where most of the trouble come from. I have an old AR with a non chrome lined barrel and the wolf polymer coated ammo sticks in the chamber almost immediately. If I thoroughly clean the chamber with the ar chamber brush it will work for a few rounds before getting stuck again. Another AR I owned with a chrome lined bore and chamber digested the stuff pretty well. The steel cased ammo without the polymer coating works just fine in both for me. Just my experiences for what they are worth.. Blitzfike

I have fired over 5,000 rounds of Wolf steel cased ammo and the only problems that I have ever had can be traced to a bad magazine. I wouldn't want to be issued this stuff in combat but it is perfect for training and fun.
When I take a formal shooting course using my AR I always run the gun wet and it gets a wipe down over the lunch break and then gets a basic cleaning before the next days training. I have put over 900 rounds through my AR in one days training and still have not had problems. CHEERS, notasniper

I've shot a few thousand rounds of Wolf .223 Steel Case through AR-15s, Saiga, Stevens 200, and Mini-14. No problems with any except one fail to fire. I figure 1 out of 3,000 is not bad. They are thilthy though. Clean tour weapon after every shooting. Thanks and good shooting.

i guess it depends on the ar. i shot about 8 rds thru a brand new smithy and they kept getting stuck. had to rod them out. i sold about 200 for 30 bucks after that.
