AR15 barrel 3 inches long

The threads on it are a little small . I am going to cut 1/2 inch of new threads on it. Then take a piece stainless 22 barrel & thread it internally . Does any one think it will hold together when fired?

I don't know. It might make a gun 22lr barrel.

when i get it done i will sand bag it into a tire & fire it with a long string if it works ok i will put a gas sys. on it.

got the extension threaded will cut tighter fitting threads on barrel when i get it removed
