When discussing political leanings with both my Republican and Democrat friends, I often comment to them that they are really (lower-case) libertarians.

Do you consider yourself libertarian, or anti-libertarian? Why do you consider yourself libertarian, or not?

Please keep in mind, this is lower-case libertarian. Not the Libertarian party. I'm assuming most Oklahomans are either Republican, Democrat or Independent, since no other parties can compete in Oklahoma.

I consider myself a different kind of libertarian... I'm all for personal liberties to the citizens, small government, small spending (in every category) smaller taxes. Doin more with less. Pro-gun, pro-choice, pro-citizen

Realizing that we are dealing in semantics, I believe there are only 2 registered parties in Oklahoma, Rep and Dem. You can register "No Party" or "Other", but this will only allow you to vote in the General Election. You can not vote along party lines in the Primary.

I'm sure someone will correct me, but that's how I think it goes.

Yep, that's about the size of it. We're only allowed to have the two parties that TPTB want us to have. Any more than two would be too difficult for them to control and having two gives us the illusion that the parties are different, similar to the Chevrolet and GMC truck marketing divisions. Same truck, different trim.
