If I am reading this correctly, an "assault weapon" is any rifle that has a detachable magazine.

Yep . . .

(b) MEANS A SEMIAUTOMATIC PISTOL OR ANY SEMIAUTOMATIC CENTERFIRE RIFLE WITH A FIXED MAGAZINE THAT HAS THE CAPACITY TO ACCEPT MORE THAN TEN ROUNDS OF AMMUNITION.

(c) MEANS A SEMIAUTOMATIC PISTOL THAT HAS THE CAPACITY TO ACCEPT A DETACHABLE MAGAZINE AND THAT HAS AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CHARACTERISTICS:

(i) ANY FEATURE CAPABLE OF FUNCTIONING AS A PROTRUDING GRIP THAT CAN BE HELD BY THE NONTRIGGER HAND.

(ii) A FOLDING, TELESCOPING OR THUMBHOLE STOCK.

(iii) A SHROUD THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE BARREL, OR THAT PARTIALLY OR COMPLETELY ENCIRCLES THE BARREL, AND THAT ALLOWS THE BEARER TO HOLD THE FIREARM WITH THE NONTRIGGER HAND WITHOUT BEING BURNED, EXCLUDING A SLIDE THAT ENCLOSES THE BARREL.

(iv) THE CAPACITY TO ACCEPT A DETACHABLE MAGAZINE AT ANY LOCATION OUTSIDE OF THE PISTOL GRIP.

(d) MEANS A SEMIAUTOMATIC SHOTGUN THAT HAS ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING:

(i) A PISTOL GRIP OR THUMBHOLE STOCK.

(f) INCLUDES A CONVERSION KIT, PART OR COMBINATION OF PARTS, FROM WHICH AN ASSAULT WEAPON CAN BE ASSEMBLED IF THOSE PARTS ARE IN THE POSSESSION OR UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE SAME PERSON.

(g) DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY FIREARM THAT HAS BEEN MADE PERMANENTLY INOPERABLE.

Yep . . . I guess Beto opened to door for them to finally be honest about their intentions . . .
No, they have just finally realized that no matter what they do we will just sit back and let it happen. They don’t fear us one bit. We have never stood up to defend our freedom and we never will. And that’s why we WILL be disarmed. People can say it won’t ever happen all they want but it will. Voting, writing, calling, protesting, etc. won’t do a dang thing. If that worked things would be vastly different. It’s a terrible feeling to sit here and watch this great nation be destroyed and what little freedom we have left be taken away.

Yep. I read it the same way. So my .bolt action 22lr with its 5-round detachable magazine all of a sudden becomes an assault weapon...Jeebus; there is so much damn stupid here it’s pitiful.

I wonder if I just used the single-shot adapter...naw,it’s also detachable so I guess that means it’s still an assault weapon. A single shot .22lr cal assault weapon. Doh!

So Garands and such are now being targeted?
And does a forend, not "partially encircle the barrel" and prevent burning of the hand in the case of something like a Browning BAR Safari? Its not a one piece stock, so the front forend does exactly whats mentioned above.
