We should indeed listen to those wise guys.... I do, often. They are my favorite band.
That's a goodun. Of course, Asleep at the Wheel always does good stuff. When my father in law was with us, we listened to a lot of Asleep at the Wheel. He was 91 when he passed. He grew up on Texas swing, going to barn dances, honky tonks and such when he was a young man.

There are still some great bands in Texas that play western swing type stuff, people still love to dance there. I love going to the stockyards in Ft. Worth and going to the small bars, tons of real country and western swing playing.
