yep,i've done three of them. the 98 vortec pump will be close to 200 but its not that difficult. when the tank is out, flush that sucker yourself and put another 180 in your pocket. the math adds up to a new gun!

I recently replaced the pump in my 2001 Silverado. It might have been easy if I had an impact wrench. Without proper tools it is NOT EASY. I had to drop the tank, and that was tough without a floor jack. I've changed the timing belt in my Civic twice and it is a much easier job. If I ever have to do it again I probably won't!
