Do any of your backs go numb? I have a spot on the left side of my back that has been numb for a couple of days now and am just curious.

Id say its numb somewhere between t3 and t5 on that picture. I lean in my chair, especially at skewl if im done with work and fall asleep in class. Dont really have back pain, just the numb feeling.
It's old age.
I get 'pot numbness' frequently.
You have a disk or vertebrae pushing on a nerve. I get the opposite. When my back acts up I get debilitating spasms.
Get off your butt, and on your feet.
I hate days where I get so swamped that I don't get out of my chair every few hours.
If you're sitting like the picture in your avatar, I'd say thats a start. Go see a Doctor. If he's worth his salt, he'll refer you to a Neurologist. It's really amazing what a little pinched nerve can do to the body.
I have one in my lower back and it affects my right thigh just above the knee. I have no feeling there. Totally numb. Neurologist says there is nothing that can be done about it, not even surgery. He said it was probably caused by years of twisting and turning and popping my back.
