Depends on what you are expecting to see from it. If you want to remove every last molecule of copper in one pass, no. I use it pretty much exclusively as a cleaner, but I find that it works a bit faster if you cut it with Hoppes #9. I mix it 2 parts ballistol to 1 part Hoppes. For corrosion protection it's one of the best things out there and I use it straight for that. The two best things for corrosion seem to be Ballistol and Eezox. Ballistol is put it on and forget it. Eezox has to be put on very thin or it turns to a gummy mess. Ballistol is pretty much an all around great product, it's good on blackpowder and corrosive ammo when mixed with water, and it is actually good for leather and wood unlike most everything else. That's what got me to try it. I like it alot but still use synthetic motor oil on my AR for lube and slide glide for spots where a grease is called for. But I like Ballistol pretty well.

I use it and love it. If anything stubborn is left over, Hoppe's is usually enough. I don't use it to lube though; not that I think it wouldn't do that job, it's just not what I do.

Still looking for it. Was going to buy it from Mark's at the last Wannie show, but the crowd was too thick and he was busy, and I was in a hurry. Still don't know where to get it in the Tulsa area. Been wanting to try it for a while, but don't want to order onlilne.
