I sure wish I had cell service at my spot. Cellular cameras would sure be nice to have.… and it sends a lot of pics per day.

Just because your cell phone shows no service at a particular spot, that doesn't mean a cell cam won't work there. I have a place in ks where I can't even get a text to go through half the time on att, but my att reveals work fine there.I sure wish I had cell service at my spot. Very interesting, I did not know that. I average between one bar and no service on the land. I assumed there is no way a picture would send if a text won’t. I think you’d be surprised. My place is like Okie’s, and phone service sucks. My old 3g Spartans required a 14’ antenna to send pictures, but the new 4g Spartans get full service in the same locations. I don’t understand it but am not looking a gift horse in the mouth.Very interesting, I did not know that. I average between one bar and no service on the land. What’s everyone using?
I tried an external battery/solar panel set up that Cabelas used to sell, and it worked OK but not great. I went back to Energizer lithium AA’s, and in the 4g Spartans, I’m getting 5000+/- pictures from a set (12 batteries) which is impressive since the older 2g and 3g cameras wouldn’t send 1000 without crapping out.
With the current cost of lithium AA’s, I’m going to start using external batteries and solar panels on all my cell cams. I’ve been testing it on one camera, and it’s worked flawlessly for almost a year. I just ordered two more batteries to set up 2 more of my cameras.
I will continue to use lithium AA’s in my non cell cams.
This wouldn’t be as big of an issue if I could just run out and check my cameras after work if there is a problem, but I’m 500 miles away and need something that‘s going to work.
So far, this is working.

They’re all throw aways. It may be different now, but my brother and I tried rechargeables years ago and got horrible battery life. Granted, they were alkali rechargeables and didn’t have a solar panel. Are the energizer or Eunicell lithiums rechargeable or throw aways?
