It maybe a little late to truly be proactive because no one knows when the next tragedy will be exploited.

On that note why aren't don't we we have a pro Second Amendment rally at the capital and show that we mean business with and don't want our rights taken away. I have read all the speculation over what will be passed, what can be passed and when will it be passed. And the worst case scenario as well. Will they confiscate guns, will police disobey orders, will I have to pay a tax stamp, etc.... I can tell you most people will not go against the man, most people will not give up their jobs over your rights and most politicians don't care about your rights. So my point is why waste all this time towards the negative? We will cross that road when it happens. As of right now we have a fighting chance.

If you want to do something go to the capital and show your support for the 2A! I think we should put all the BS aside and go to the capital. No more gouging, no more arguments and no more treating people like inferiors if they are new to guns. If we want our gun rights to survive we need to come together no matter what or how you shoot or whether you are a civilian, LE or military.

I think LEOs should show up in uniform, military also if possible and show a true cross section of gun culture. I would like to see a date set and even the gun stores themselves close and send their employees and customers to the capital. Two or three hours out of your day isn't the end of the world. The guns shops have made plenty of money these last four years and can afford it and they also can't afford not to.

Will this make a difference in DC? I don't know. Will it make a difference here in OKC? I believe so. So why do it? I am tired of everyone sitting around worrying about what will happen. I know some of you have mailed your reps and talked to people and done your part but how many haven't? So again why do it? We have had no voice for the most part on a state level. I have seen some news stories but not much pro 2A. I know people here in Oklahoma think we have the gun thing under control and we do for the most part but I think there needs to be a clear message on gun rights. There is a fair share of anti gun people in the urban areas and if you have ever read the Gazette we get trashed constantly. I am sick of hearing the left's propaganda. After the tragedy there was what seemed like an eternity before a response from the NRA while Larry Pratt from GOA was out there trying to hold his own. I am not bashing the NRA, that would be against what I am saying here. I am saying we have been behind the eight ball and I am tired of it.

If you can drive to three Walmarts, all the Academys and to a gunshow every weekend you can go to capital.

I am going to forward this to NRA, GOA, ORA, OK2A. So move this to the 2A forum, share it, nuke it, I have said what I had to say.

Before you forward please proof read it a few times. I agree with the message and would be willing and able if the date fell into an opening in my schedule.

I think this is a great idea and should be organized all across the country at the same time. When you look how many attend a gun show and look at the crowded lines at the gun store and retail shops it seems that there are tons of people that would support it. I would. maybe when the governemnt sees the one hundred million hunters and even more gun owners and supporters it may just have the impact we are looking to obtain. Spread the word and lets rally.
