I worked with a guy in seminary and one day he asked the boss for a raise. My boss responded " why don't you try working 40hrs a week?" This still makes me laugh.

If I remember right, Bernie has been bragging his staff is the only one with a union contract.

And this is what happens when the minimum wage is raised. Hours and jobs get cut to keep the costs down. I'm old enough to remember when Wal-Mart used to have a lot more cashiers open, to the point there were more open lanes than closed. Every minimum wage hike saw fewer and fewer cashiers. And thats just to name one company.
