I like the winchester ballistic silvertips. They are excellent for deer hunting. I took a doe last year at 200 yards. Had sighted in at 100 and held the crosshairs right on the mark and the bullet impacted right where i held it. As far as consistency at the bench they do well also. I would say the rifle and the shooter have more to do with consistancy than the ammunition. Most any factory load is going to shoot consistant out of a quality benched rifle. I have a savage model 110 with a bsa scope and I would say it can shoot better than I can hold it.

I shoot 162gr AMAX bullets with Remington Magnum primers and 61.5grs of IMR-4350. Produced just over 1/2" group at 100yds. I also loaded some 150gr Nosler ballistic tips with same primer/powder charge and produced just under 1/2" group at 100yds, though be it this was only a two shot group. Factory barrelled Savage 7mag, with aftermarket stock, bedding, and bolt/trigger work.

Factory ammo was Remmington 140gr Premier Accutip. Costs about $40-$45 a box though.
