Depends on what you're primary purpose is for the rifle. I chose to put a short range red dot scope so to use both eyes opened. I would still be comfortable using it to kill deer within 200 yards.
Go to Bass Pro and look through all the scopes you might be interested in then check online prices.
This is exactly why no dealer carries a large selection. They are tired of tying up a lot of money being a showroom for the internet.
