??? what model do you have. Mine is the Stainless Target II, nothing but hands needed to take it down.Yeah that's the only thing I don't like about my Kimber
My Springfield 1911 has the last 3 numbers engraved on the underneath of the slide. Came factory like that.they aren't altering the serial number, someone took an engraving tool (electric type) and put the last 3 numbers of the serial number on the inside of the frame, where the slide rides over to cock the hammer, Springfield doesn't do that
The engraving is normal for SA. We've established that.i've delivered my warning about these folks, use them at your own risk. none of the Springfield 1911's i've handled previously had any numbers engraved on the interior parts, slides or frames. all of the Springfield 1911's that have come and gone all had the locking childproof cable, the grip safety keys, big allen wrench for the plastic holster and mag holder. this one did not have any of that in the case. this one also displays scratches on the frame from disassembly, it also shipped with a magazine in the pistol. that magazine showed significant use.
