What is it? I googled it, but all it comes up with is ads for stuff with that finish. Is it any good? That is what the savage edge xp has. Any thoughts? Budsgunshop.com has it for $300 even with scope in 30.06. For $40 more I can get the same thing in camo. Is camo on a gun worth the $40 bucks or is is just preference?
"Matte" just means it has a satin-like finish. Not glossy, and not completely flat. For example, the black plastic housing on most televisions is a matte finish.
Whether or not camo finish is worth the extra cash is personal preference.
