That’s one of the few things I remember from my college statistics course. One of the required books was How To Lie With Statistics, and that Disraeli quote was printed inside the front cover, along with a few other choice quotes on the subject.

In my defense, when I searched this online I found several sources that incorrectly attributed the quote to Twain. I blame the media for my ignorance.
