Bloomberg gun-control group facing internal backlash amid growing profile

Not only is Bloomberg's soda ban getting shot down, his "Illegal Mayors Against Legal Gun Ownership" is also having it's troubles---former supporters are dropping out.

And those fools act surprised that the agenda was to attack lawful gun ownership & lawmakers who support it. Hell, it was obvious from the time it started what they were out to do. I'd say those who left saw the iceberg coming & abandoned ship before it was too late. They knew this would turn ugly & wanted out before they got smeared too bad for being involved.

The rats leaving this sinking ship knew what they were getting into. They just thought they could get away with manipulating the public into thinking Illegal Mayors Against Guns is something it was not. This "abandoning it's mission" crap is just damage control, a convenient CYA cover story for those caught in the crosshairs of the public backlash. They weren't mislead by MAIG about what their real mission always has been, they just thought they could get away with misleading the public about it and their involvement with MAIG and got caught.

I agree. There is no way these people didn't know what was going on. Any person with half a brain would know what was going on. Bloomberg is scum. Everyone knows that. But yet, these people are actually trying to convince people that they didn't know they were going after gun rights. BS. That has been Bloomberg's mission ever since he formed that group.

A number of mayors outside of the East and West Coast won't be seen in a positive light by their communities, especually come election time when their opponents use their affiliation with Bloomberg and NYC politics as a tool against them.
