While I agree with most of this, I think you could build a better rifle with $1500.

I'm with ya Jakerz, I was just under the impression that he wanted to snap an upper on a lower. I just finished a Noveske build. I'm at $1250 with sights, no optics.

Sounds like nice build you got there. I enjoy building them. Pick and choose where you want to splurge and where you want to save some $$. Plus when you're finished you feel more proud of your rifle. Hell, I get attached to the ones I build for friends.

Just ordered a blemish auto bcg from them for $100...just got my upper from them for $480 too. Before ordered an acs-L lbk for $160 for the FIL....they have so many sales right now!

Thanks for the heads up on the blem BCGs... I just bought 2.

I have taken a liking to the ACS-L. It is one of the only collapsible stocks that is actually long enough for me when fully extended, and is also fairly light weight. The extra storage space is nice too. Both my ARs have them now.

I did find a pretty good deal on a Spikes Tactical complete upper, is only a 16", but at this point I really don't care.

Spikes makes good quality uppers and lowers.
