I have heard rumors that there are pockets of sane people surrounded by liberals ... Poor folks ...

Actually I am not surprised ... there is not a less motivated bunch of people on the planet than stoners ... LOL

There was a show on National Geographic Channel talks about Pot in California not long ago. There was a Rev in church somewhere in Freshno smokes pot and claimed that pot helped him concentrate better and relaxing his mind since he has some health problems....... suuuuuuuuuuuuuuure buddy.

the pot lobby in California was tending against the bill... seems regulation would put the vast majority of small time growers out of business.

Seems pot smokers like the wide variety of plants produced by the small growers... and the small growers just don't have the resources to cope with regulation.

So... even if pot became "legal" ... a segment of underground growers would bootleg the custom stuff.

Voting that initiative down just tells me the folks in CA want status quo.

There really is some truth to these statements.

It seems I've know more non-potheads (like me) in strong favor of legalization than potheads.

Most of the potheads I've known don't vote because politics are a total bummer. And some of them have this theory that if it was legalized the quality of dope available to them would drop for some reason, like the mega cheap pot farms would undercut all the good dope growers and they'd throw in the proverbial towel.
At this point they start laughing and ask if anyone remembers that Twilight Zone episode where the dude is the same but everyone else is different??? No seriously, what were we talking about a minute ago?

The so-called "legalization" effort was just a plot by the government to squeeze the small grower/distributor out of the market. All the wonderful boutique small batch brands that exist today would just die on the vine, only to be replaced by a bland monochrome corporate product harvested by overworked immigrants,to support bourgeois fat cats whose over-consumption is destroying the earth.
