People Need to Clarify WHICH Vortex your referring to, in your opinion. Are you saying the Razor 1-6 GenII, or the New Strike Eagle 1-6x ? when comparing it to SWFA 1-6x.
Those SS have been well received for a long time, and I always wanted to try their newest HD but didn't have the options I prefer.
Everything is a compromise, but you can go 1-6x or 1-8x for $$$, sometimes not much more than 1-4x, so why not get the most if your already adding that kind of weight.
The typical Use of 1-4x is mostly the same as 1-6x or 1-8x..... with 1-10x coming soon. Thus, capped tends to be more abuse friendly than exposed.
