A friend of mine was at a bulk discount variety store that has a "sporting goods" section in Arkansas. He called me up and said they have 50 rounds for just under $10. I had never heard of it, so I had him pick me up 200 rounds to give a go.

135 grain .45???

I thought there was no way this would cycle in my Scorpion 1911, so I brought my XD as well up to the pond.

I had one FTE in my XD at normal shooting pace. I quick fired out of both and had no issues at all. Relatively pleased so far. One box down. Next I will see how accurate it actually is.

135gr

Bullets almost look like wood.

Some googling found references to a polymer bullet that has copper particles entrapped in it.
I think it was made by a European defense contractor that has since shut down their US website.
It's supposed to be frangible

Maybe RWS rebranded it and sold on the US market after that.

Cheap and cycles in my pistols, I dont care what its made of as long as I get my Bang Bang fix!

And yeah, I couldnt figure out what that stuff was. May set up a few layers of cardboard and try to capture a bullet.

That's what I would do. and some wet newspaper. Then maybe a bucket of sand.

My guess would be the frangible. The brass looks good. Is it boxer or berdan?

Cheap BANG BANG is always good, though. Would be fun to rabbit / turtle hunt with a .45ACP.
