My 15 year old son has been anticipating an antelope hunt for years. This trip was worth the wait! Completely different from any other style of hunting we have ever done. Logged 9 miles on foot and 400 miles in the truck locating but it all came down to one group of about 20 antelope we located on the Rita Blanca grassland. We tried a stalk twice without success then finally were able to get in position as they were moving across the prairie and he was set up and ready. The doe gave him a quartering to shot at 138 yards and she fell where stood. Proud of my son and happy to get to spend time with him doing what we enjoy!
