Judge Berrones:
A permanent injunction is issued enjoining Defendant Village of Deerfield, its agents, officials or police department from enforcing any provision of Ordinance No. 0-18-01 and Ordinance No. 0-18-19 making it unlawful to keep, possess, bear, manufacture, sell, transfer, or transport assault weapons or large capacity magazines as defined in these ordinances.

What is the official definition of an assault weapon? Weapon used to assault someone or a weapon used defending yourself from being assaulted? If you are being assaulted, you need a weapon from being assaulted, right? Sounds like something good to have.

Kinda like a burglar alarm, gives you an alarm if you are being burglarized.

I think weapons used to defend yourself from assaults would be welcomed. Would that be called a full semi automatic defensive assault weapon? Fully automatic armed and actuated burger alarm system capable of helping stop the conflict of the situation seen to be legal. Humm Guess I should not even think about meshing the two together as a self defense system.
