Sheriff called today! Now just need to send to the ATF....and wait.

I got one from them. They said next week, but it was closer to two. I get the impression that he only looks at them once a week and if you miss that day, then you wait till the next week. They were very friendly and did seem to have a very nice routine like they do it pretty regular.
