:D. Good one ef9turbo.* Id hate to have a FTH (fail to hook) due to that crack!* You should get that camera out and post up your results.* I'm open to make this a "how to shoot macro" thread.* I would certainly appreciate critique from other photo buffs on my shots.

Damn you Seedy. Quit making all the photography threads. Found out the Nikon minimum charge was more than what I can buy a refurb for, so I am still without a DSLR. Have a really nice tamaron 90mm for macro.

This is one of the last macros I did before I started having shutter problems.

Dang, that's some nice work! I'm having a dickens of a time getting decent macro shots - they usually end up very grainy despite my attempts to adjust the lighting, f-stop, etc. Or else the depth of focus is paper-thin, so only a portion of the object is in focus. I'll have to keep plugging away...
