I ordered a couple service grade spring fields, but got an email saying they are now back ordered but that they can get me either field grade h&r or Winchester field grade in two weeks.
Or I can stay on back order and get a service grade.
I was considering it but from what I have seen on other forums from a goggle search; the field grades that they mail out are terrible.
I had ordered two service ones thinking I could pick the best one and either give the other to my dad or eventually sell it for at least what it cost me to get (pending looking up of that is legal).

So, are the field grades from the mail that bad. Should i risk it and get the fields or wait and see if I can eventually get a service.
I just wanted a decent looking one to shoot and say I have one. But some forums say the field grades are only good for rebuilding and putting new barrels on. That they are too worn out.
