doesn't your house get really dusty when venting the dryer into the house in the winter?
No it does not I have a really good filter and pantyhose over the duct and then I lay it on the ground on a towel.
My washer spins clothes so well they almost come out dry and the dryer runs maybe 10 minutes.
15 for jeans or coats.

In the summer time i will get on the chimney and cap it. No down draft.

I had a friend that vented his dryer into the garage.
Rusted everything.
If your clothes are wringing wet i do not suggest that.

If I lay the dryer vent on the tile floor not on a towel you will see just a hint of moisture on the tile.
About what you would see if you had damp feet from getting out of a shower after a quick dry of the feet on a towel.

I like the washer but I have replaced tub bearings 2 times and feel it is just something that will happen with this fast spinner.
I do not spin on fast either I use medium speed.
Sounds like a turbo spooling up.

When I had a basement in Hutch, we had two of these in line with the vent for the dryer. One was too restrictive. They worked fine if you cleaned the screens every usage. During the summer, just flip the lever for the bypass.
