As with most of these scenarios, need more info. From the point of 'my group', IF we are at bug out, semipermanent location and either of the 2 are found; the 70 yo is going to be more readily welcomed. Either would be under suspicion and guarded carefully. IF we are nomadic, the strong back would be more useful and the 70 yo a real hindrance. Again, both suspicious and guarded. Possibility that neither is welcomed in.
By chance I am alone and nomadic, the old broad is SOL. Strong back depends on initial contact survival. Way too many different scenarios to give a single definitive answer.
