At the local trading post, a man recognizes you for someone who turned him and his family away when he came begging for help. He starts to yell in the middle of the trading post that he'll sell information about your bug-out location to the highest bidder. There are about 300 people doing buisness there as this scene unfolds. He claims to know your guard rotation schedule, how many people you have in the camp, and the type of supplies you have in storage. People are starting to notice the commotion. it's time for you to do something. How would you handle the situation?

Might remind him that eventually he has to leave the trading post. Continuing with this effort guarantees he does it in a body bag.

admit to know knowing who this guy is publicly. Then proceed to tell them that your camp has moved so many times since your encounter with this low-life that any info he may have is totally worthless and that their money is better spent at the trading post getting supplies, just like you are doing. Might remind that members of the trading post that he was turned away because he was unstable mentally and apparently still is.

Makes a good case for having one or two people to always be the contact person for contact with people who come upon your camp. And other person or two to travel out to trading posts.

Also makes a great case for not letting anyone leave your location -- whether they came up on your location accidentally or you send them away for some reason (like the pedophile in an earlier card) ...

In my response, I am working from the assumption that there is no rule of law, obviously ...

(LURKER is gonna be so proud ... :wink2:)

Very proud. Bartertown will be safe and is in good hands.

Lead lobotomy. Not sure why he was allowed to leave the encampment in the first place.
Shoot then explain his instabilities. In bartertown, no further problems.

Remind the guy that silence is golden and to meet you outside....

Cut his tongue out and all of his fingers off right then and there. Spit on him and give him permission to tell anybody he wants. Then look around the crowd with your bloody hands and crazy eyes and ask the crowd if anybody would like a private tour.

I like how you think.
