Unfortunately, I've had conversations with a number of LEOs that have left me scratching my head at their interpretations of our current SDA, makes me wonder what they'll interpret about Constitutional Carry.

As someone who was a LEO for years i didnt give a damn about someone who had a gun or not. I refused to enforce any and every gun law. I took my seriously "shall not be infringed", means just do not prohibit or make any laws. Just like inalienable means you cant even give that right up nor can any man take it away. I would much rather dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery. Even if that meant i was shot and killed by a gun. I to my core did my best to uphold my oath and protect yours and my right given by our God, not our Government!!!

Well, nothing like the irresistible urge to check the news and message boards every fifteen minutes in the hopes of an update. Maybe we'll hear something today.

Very true. I’ve talked to and worked with an air force vet that trained marching with wood replicas of firearms. They only advanced to the real deal if going into a field that required weapons.
Technicians, avionics, etc just went on to tech school training from what I was told by a co-worker that was an AF vet.
Any AF vets on here to verify?

During basic everyone had to qualify with the M-16.

Your career field does matter a difference During my time, everyone had to do yearly qualifications with the M-16. If you were in a “combat arms” category, qualifications were more frequent.

In my case, I started in the FD and only had to do yearly qualifications with the M-16. Later on I cross trained to the Security Police and things were different.

Twice a year on the M-16 and pistol and once a year on the M-60 and 203 greanade launcher. They sent us to Little Rock AFB one year and we got training on practice grenades and claymore mines. I was disappointed. I was ready to blow stuff up.

There was a news segment this morning on KOKH Fox 25 that said Fallin had until May 18th to sign or veto. She was also on video saying that they were carefully analyzing the controversial bills saying, ""There are a lot of bills that are drawing a lot of attention, but we’re carefully analyzing them, looking at the pros and cons - is it good public policy or is it not, what’s the public support, and certainly looking at the constitutionality of all of our laws too."

Sounds like it also means that she doesn't care about the hundreds of other people that voted for it in the house and senate, multiple committees that reviewed the bill (including public safety committee, judiciary committee, and the government oversight and accountability committee) not to mention all the other bills that were attempted trying to do the same thing til they finally got it right. Nah, only she can determine what's best for the people (the "pros and cons" and what's "good public policy" and whether it's constitutionally sound).

I like how the news article mentions the opposition to the bill and none of the support. Way to show your bias there, media... That's why they call you fake news.
