What's a 30.06 sign?
I would expect this sort of thing from somebody who lives on one of the coasts. But you live in Oklahoma and you _don't_ think Arkansas has good jobs, indoor plumbing, and dental care??! We live in NE OK and we vacation in Arkansas all the time. Some beautiful locations with nice people. Drive through the home town city of Wal-Mart and observe the housing. There are thousands upon thousands of high end houses. A whole lot of money flows through there.
And somehow they manage to maintain their public highway system without covering the entire state with turnpikes. Despite them being free, they seem to be at least as good as OK highways. Many times I would say better....
Both my sisters live in the Denver area. It is a fun place to visit. But no... I most definitely wouldn't want to live there. High urban density, terrible traffic. Conflicting local laws on guns... I'm never 100% sure I'm not breaking one law or another. And that was before the last round.

It's a gun buster sign that, due to Section 30.06 of the Texas Penal Code, supposedly has "teeth". I haven't looked into it in depth, but supposedly a CCW carrier ignoring such a sign posted at the entrance to a building in Texas can actually be prosecuted.
It's a reference to the section of Texas penal code that spells out requirements for No Guns Allowed signage. If a place is posted in accordance with 30.06, then you can more easily be charged with tresspassing if you ignore it and enter the place armed or something to that effect.
Beyond the racism... I'm sure there are lots of beautiful Mexican women who don't want to have 6 kids. Which would be hard on any woman's body. A beautiful 20 something Mexican woman has just as much of a chance of being a beautiful 50's woman as anybody else.
Let's try not to move the ancient stereotypes about black women over to another ethnic or racial group!

I guess you haven't been keeping up with the news as far as the new gun restrictions in Colorado since Sandy Hook.
Thanks for the info on 30.06 - funny numbers for an anti-gun sign. Yeah, I'll pick Arkansas any day. Weather's better.
