Anyone have an idea, or actually been represented by a criminal defense attorney from the OKC-metro area? Looking at having someone that knows Oklahoma SDA, etc just in case.
Is there a website (state or private) that rates attorneys?

BB...I know the name, and by all accounts he seems to specialize in SDA issues....just concerned about the "other" news that her gets him noticed.

I understand completely. I know Doug personally and have used him a couple of times. That other news has, of course, has a back story I'm not at liberty to share here. You know how that stuff goes ...

After having worked with attorneys for as long as I have I hesitate to recommend anyone, lol. But Doug and Hanson (JB Books) and Jeremy (My Monkey) on here are guys who I have seen in action, all used for my own personal work and have no qualms recommending ... They are a few of the good ones out there.

Henschman is a good fella too ... I've just not had occasion to use his services ... And since he's a criminal defense attorney, I'm really hoping I never do, nothing personal ... lol :wink2:

That makes two of us BB! Though good people get caught up in the system sometimes... you never know when you might get pulled over on a dark and secluded road by a naughty JBT who wants nothing more than to take advantage of a gal like yourself... :wink2:

RollingRock, yes, I do criminal defense here in the OKC area, and all over the State. I have made the offer before that I would appear for any member of this site no questions asked and no retainer required if anyone is involved in a self defense situation... we'd work something out for the fee afterwards. PM me if you want my contact info.

With all the hull-a-balloo that your post #12 caused, can you imagine the uproar if you got paraded in cuffs and shackles before the judges here in Oklahoma? My best bet would be that there would an OSA riot to free you. Heck, some dogs might even get shot!

LOL ... actually I have had words (Gentle yet firm, making it clear I am NOT your average bear ... :wink2:) with a couple of officers and on one occasion, a supervisor. It amuses me to know end that some of the guys on here think I'm biased, especially with my legal background and some of the cases I have worked in the past ...

The fact of the matter is, whether anyone likes it or not, that there are good officers and there are bad officers. And even with the good officers, there is a breaking point -- more people have talked themselves into a ticket than out of one. With the bad ones, instead of a ticket you get a one way pass to county ... or worse ...

Everyone has to answer to someone. You can be a grown-up about it and, generally speaking, get out unscathed or you can be an ******* about it and maybe have not only your day, but several years of your life fubar'd ...

It is unfortunate that some people just can't bring themselves to grow up and deal with situations that they, most likely brought upon themselves ... And yes, I brought the 2 incidents I'm thinking about upon myself ... I should own a car that only drives 55 ... because I sure can't seem to ... :D
