Would like to see a season on Kites. They have taken over here and the songbirds are getting scarce.
Not likely being bird of prey.

Sounds like fun. I remember reading about crow hunting in some of the magazines i subscribed to in the late 70's - early 80's. I was too young to drive and no adult wanted to take my teenage friend and I to Ft. Cobb from the Tulsa area.Much of my youth was spent in a brushy ditch near Ft Cobb with an 1897 Winchester and boxes of reloads & a bruised shoulder
I have noticed that, too. Was watching/listening to some active Blue Jays and Crows a few weeks ago. They all flew off and a Kite comes sailing through and perched on a Black Locust tree. It took a little while before the smaller birds began making noise and flying again.Would like to see a season on Kites. They have taken over here and the songbirds are getting scarce.
