I like Cruz as well but I think he was born in Canada. His mom was a US citizen at the time but his dad wasn't. Cuban at the time. Being a republican will make this an issue. Democrat..no problem.

Exactly. I was doing some research on this last night, and while it seems most constitutional scholars would be in agreement that Cruz would be eligible, it would of course become such an issue as to be insurmountable.
