Decided to go to a crossbow as my shoulder won't allow me to pull on my compound any more

Always wanted a crossbow but liked shooting my bow. Now, because of things out of my control, I made the jump to one.
Bought the Ravin R26 that pushes 415 FPS but I think it may do more. I'll put it through my chronograph and see. She's got the lighted optic with 3 inch group at 100 yds and at 60 in you have to be willing to ruin an expensive bolt or two.
Here's a bad pic. Hope this isn't a problem not being gun related.

Nice bow! I had to do the same after a ruptured bicep tendon years ago. You will like it.

Dang nice bow!!! Congrats!!! My Stryker is only shooting about 360 but is accurate enough I never use the same point of aim twice, because it’s too easy to cut a vane.

I've been considering getting a crossbow for quite awhile now. Shoulder surgery, that included a torn rotator cuff and a dislocated bicep tendon are the deciding factor now.

I tore my right bicep about 15 years ago and didn’t get it fixed. I still have the ability to pull a vertical bow, but the pain isn’t worth it to me. It sounds like you’re in the situation I was, and unless you want to sit out archery season for the rest of your life, you get a crossbow and keep killing deer. :anyone:
