Doesn’t work for me either.Dang. Can't see in tapatalk or on the forum from a web browser.
My buddy and I went to Broken Bow and hunted on public land but it pretty much turned into just a camping trip. We saw a ton of rubs and scrapes (and poop), but not one single deer poked it's head out for us to see. Good thing we took plenty of beer along with us. Now, anyone got an open stand they want to share with a very unsuccessful hunter? (Been going to Broken Bow for 16 years now and not one dead deer yet. Good thing I like camping.)
Honestly, I'm pretty sure that our problem is our lack of actual preparation and dedication to the hunting. We go down to the area once a year in hopes of getting lucky, pretty much. It's a 3 hour drive (or more, depending) to get down there, so it's not like we are just popping down there and doing any actual scouting or anything. Basically, roll up to one of a few camp spots that we've "claimed" and hunt in that general area. I'm sure that if we put more time and effort into it, we'd get something. I know that we heard a decent amount of shots go off around us. Just nothing in the area we were in.I shot an 8 in the Ouachita national forest (by broken bow) this past weekend. Ive been hunting that area for two years now. Sounds like you may frequent a location nearby. I don't know about an open stand but i'd be happy to learn more about what you are doing. Maybe I can help you. Feel free to pm me. Please be patient with the timing of my replies, i work night shift and done get on here much during the week.
