Are you sure it wasn't Dept. of Homeland Security?

The DoJ's arm goes by the name "National Security Division" and I'm unaware of them operating in our AOR.

We have lots of DHS police in our AOR though. Their vehicles are similarly marked to the FPS example listed above (I'm not a big fan of FPS by the way).

Look up "Fusion Centers"

The Oklahoma Information Fusion Center (OIFC) doesn't have hard assets like the DHS police units. It's a collaborative intel operation that's used as a central clearing house for LE and private industry awareness bulletins. I happen to be an OIFC liaison officer. 95% of what I get from them is in the way of crime BOLO's and officer safety bulletins. This nefarious and covert image some have of them couldn't be further from the truth. I cannot speak for other states fusion centers, but the OIFC is an asset to the community, not the other way around. :(
