depriming brass without the die

I have about 6 rounds of random brass, Friend is making a art project out of assorted brass. I would like to add these to the pile but do not have depriming/resizing dies. What says the group?

If you have appropriately sized dowels, you might be able to fill the case with water or oil, then use the dowel and a hammer to force the primer out using hydraulic pressure.

For like $7-$10 ish you can get a universal deprimer punch and anvil at Cabelas

I should have mentioned these are live primers. I got them from a neighbor as complete rounds. very old. I disassembled them but still have primers in these cases.

You can put a couple drops of oil in the case and it’ll saturate the primer and they won’t pop. At least none I’ve ever done have.

Pop the primer outside in a vice. Then pop them out or bring them to me tomorrow and I’ll do the dumb stuff.
