Dewalt 20v Chainsaw

Battery technology has come a LONG way in the last 10 years. I have a full line of dewalt cordless tools when I was installing cabinets. Battery operated 12” sliding chopsaw, battery table saw, battery compressor, and yes most definitely that battery chainsaw. With a sharp blade and a flexvolt battery the saw is amazing

So handy. Great for carrying one offroad as well. No gas fumes! I have took down some impressive tops out of trees with the chain saw and the limb saw from Dewalt.

I have a Worx electric pole/chainsaw thing I got off FB Marketplace a couple years ago and its been a beast. I was pretty skeptical at first but it works great. Just small with a 8" bar but it cuts quick.

However a real man needs a gas powered chainsaw. The sound of a two stroke saw is addictive.

I have a Stihl, it's just overkill for basically everything I do on a regular basis. It's got its place, but it's hard to beat the convenience of these little dudes.

I think another benefit of the battery operated is that you do not need hearing protection. Is this right?

Depends on the tool. Compressor and chopsaw absolutely. The 20v chainsaw or the 40v push mower absolutely not necessary

Hmm, I wish I would have been concerned about protecting my hearing 30 years ago.

Yeah it's pretty quiet. No tax stamp needed to be hearing safe!
