Gosh man, sorry I jacked up your morning! Just trying to be helpful.Geez, I thought the days of email chains mindlessly forwarded without any research ended in the 90's and 2000's. Social media is used for this now, what you should be worried about is entities that use social media to spread disinformation. If you are going to share something, do some research.
Scanning a QR code isn't going to magically steal your info, the QR code suggests you open a website where YOU enter your information and it is stolen because YOU gave it up. The is no magical app in a QR code that gets all of the info from you phone.
Same response from everyone, "just trying to be helpful". Not an excuse for not taking 10 seconds to google it before you share. Sorry if it seems harsh, but if you are going to share something, you are on the hook to insure it is legit. You can help stop the ignorance!!Gosh man, sorry I jacked up your morning! Just trying to be helpful.
I hope things get better from here on and you’re able to avoid ignorant people like me the rest of the Christmas season!
God bless and Merry Christmas, I mean that!
