Always a good idea to have 3-6 months of emergency funds if possible. All the electronic payment systems are fine until they're not. Hope this gets resolved quickly.I’d be upset.
Not trying to sound uppity, but this is why I scrapped by until I had a couple months worth of money sitting in my account.
Just tell them to give you a old fashioned paper check!
I hope your next message is not a bankruptcy letter!
I bet not since payroll has nothing to do with it…Right now. Not tomorrow; not by express mail. Right now. In your hand so you can take it to THEIR bank and cash it.
This kind of stuff is why I have cash on me ... Or in the safe. There were SO. MANY. YEARS. That something like not getting my check on time would have caused me more than a little hardship. I bet the bastards responsible for payroll got paid on time.

The Federal Reserve alerted banks Friday afternoon the problem was caused by a “processing issue” at the private sector operator of the Automated Clearing House (ACH), a national network for processing transactions.
The ACH system allows banks to send electronic payments to each other. Everything from direct deposit paychecks to customer bill payments for mortgages and utility bills flow through this system.
The Fed said an “error” in a batch of payments delayed the processing of payments.
The Clearing House, the private sector operator of ACH, confirmed to CNN that it “experienced a processing issue” with a batch of bank transactions.
