meh just depends. when I got my sr9c it went straight out to the range to see what it did. It's just fine.

I have only encountered this one time but I'm sure had I fired the rifle before cleaning it there would have been major damage.Oh No, no...clean it first..most of time you will see millings, and steel fileings on the patches.Otherwise this same millings will be shoved down your barrel under a whole lot of pressure...
