The report states Martin first denied bringing the gun onto school property or even going inside the school. Again, the officer saw proof that proved otherwise. She had a lobby guard ID on her, which is used to get into Jenks Public Schools as guests.
Martin soon confessed to leaving the gun inside the vehicle as she went inside the school.
From KRMG's website. She was busted on circumstantial evidence, then lied, then confessed. She screwed up she knew and tried to hide it then got diarrhea of the mouth.
Most people at work have figured out what it means when I park off campus... In a spot that's literally 15 feet from my reserved spot on the property.
My kid got sick one day I had to go sign him out, I wound up parking across the street at Groggs then walked across the street to sign him out. Working for a school district and being a permit holder makes carrying a real pain in the ass. I contend that the service center parking lot is not off limits because it is a business office we don't have classes there. But I am not going to be a test case.
The way I understand it, there is an exception for picking up your child at school in your vehicle. As long as you remain in your vehicle with the weapon and do not get out and leave the weapon un-attended in said vehicle, then it is legal right?
I want to make sure I am right on that.
If you are licensed to carry, this is correct. Although it doesn't say anything about remaining in your vehicle, it says you cannot leave the vehicle unattended.
