From KRMG's website. She was busted on circumstantial evidence, then lied, then confessed. She screwed up she knew and tried to hide it then got diarrhea of the mouth.

The report states Martin first denied bringing the gun onto school property or even going inside the school. Again, the officer saw proof that proved otherwise. She had a lobby guard ID on her, which is used to get into Jenks Public Schools as guests.

Martin soon confessed to leaving the gun inside the vehicle as she went inside the school.

Most people at work have figured out what it means when I park off campus... In a spot that's literally 15 feet from my reserved spot on the property.

My kid got sick one day I had to go sign him out, I wound up parking across the street at Groggs then walked across the street to sign him out. Working for a school district and being a permit holder makes carrying a real pain in the ass. I contend that the service center parking lot is not off limits because it is a business office we don't have classes there. But I am not going to be a test case.

Make sure that you have the OK of whoever's property you are parking on. There's a school here that has way too few spaces for parking, and often students and teachers park at the church across the street. That church isn't ok with their parking being abused, and they have cars towed from their property. Once we got a car that turned out to belong to a parent who was a concealed carrier. I had no sympathy for him, since his car was left directly in front of one of our signs, which say "Unauthorized vehicles will be impounded".

This entire story reminds me of the videos that advise that you don't talk to the police. I notify that I'm licensed and carrying, then KMBMS. In the past, when an officer starts asking questions that I would consider to be nobody's business if a stranger asked me, then I have said "I don't want to answer any more questions. Am I free to go?" It has ended the encounter. Disclaimer: this almost never happens to me, as I don't get stopped often... I NEVER give consent to search. Ever.

She broke the law. CC101 No guns on school property. Meanin' if she don't like the treatment, don't break the laws. Speeding in a school zone, expired tag, CC violations. This is obviously a person with complete disregard for law and a lack of good judgement.

The way I understand it, there is an exception for picking up your child at school in your vehicle. As long as you remain in your vehicle with the weapon and do not get out and leave the weapon un-attended in said vehicle, then it is legal right?

I want to make sure I am right on that.

If you are licensed to carry, this is correct. Although it doesn't say anything about remaining in your vehicle, it says you cannot leave the vehicle unattended.

Correct. Leave it while you go inside, or take it inside, big no no. Remember the dad down in Bixby or Jenks not too long ago? Some people just amaze me. I think a serious discussion about allowing guns on school property should have happened way back during the V Tech incident. They have essentially made schools a free kill zone. If I had kids in school, I would be worried sick.
