My truck is still in the body shop to get some damage from a hit and run fixed. Can't get the parts and I don't have a drop of corn in a feeder for this weekend. No way to get one out in the wife's SUV that she will let me. I promised to not get any blood anywhere, but it's a HELL NO!
That reason right there is why I own more than 1 pickup.

I took a company car deer hunting once. I hauled a doe in the trunk of a Ford Contour and they never found out. Of course I had it all lined with a tarp.

My truck is in the shop as well. Wife said "you can haul a deer and everything in the van, can't you?"

I had a similar situation last fall; hit a deer and my truck was in the shop. Had to hunt in my wife's minivan. She wasn't too keen on it.

Oh well... just put down a tarp, and scrubbed out what the tarp didn't catch! My son thought it was hilarious; he felt like a mobster with a body wrapped up in the tarp.

Update on the truck. Still no parts. The supplier promised they would be here tomorrow just like they promised they would be here last Thursday.
Apparently won't make it this weekend at all. I got a phone call from a distant relative tonight saying the property of their Uncle I used to farm was sold as the uncle died back in August and nobody told the rest of the family. The only child decided to sell the place and tell nobody. The distant relative's sons have been hunting it for 20 some years, and went there today to fill feeders, etc.
The buyer happened to be there as well. Saying he bought it "as is" saying my tractor, disks, harrows, wheat drill, etc that I farmed that ground with, went with the sale, as well as several deer stands.
We are going to make a concerted effort to get the equipment off the property this weekend. It hasn't been through probate yet, so he technically doesn't own it. Another relative lives up the road a mile and it won't be far to drag the stuff, more a PITA than anything.
We have a lot of work ahead of us.
