Dove hunting results this season?

How have you guys done this year with dove? I've been out to hayburn public land 4-5 times so far and haven't done very well. Several of the days may have been weather related, but I'm thinking of trying a different spot. My grandfather has a place in okemah that I'm going I try.

Has anyone done well at hayburn this year? Any advise from thoes who have done well anywhere? Thanks!

We have pretty much shot our limits (fairly close anyways) each time we have been out ( 4 or 5 times).

Hunted a couple times around Blackwell and Ponca City and they are thick, either get your limit or run out of shells trying. lol

We have been hunting private land in NC Oklahoma. Mostly hunted the same pond in a field of cut milo. I think Okie4570 ventured away one night for similar success over grass on private land near the Cimarron. We did notice a lot more smaller birds this weekend (which seemed a little strange).

It's been strange this year on bird locations. Where justin_h635 and I have been hunting, there are a couple of almost dried up ponds in a cut milo field. Incredible bird numbers. My house is about 15 miles away and I've got a cut milo field 1/2 mile north of my house, live on a white chat rock road, 5 sets of power lines running in every direction, and I have yet to see a dove, other than the two euro's living in my tree row.
