Dumb phones

If you have a smartphone, it has crap for battery life.

Do you involve any dumb phones in your DR scenarios? (Since not every disaster scenario is like the Dawn of the Dead)
I was looking at some of the cheap feature phones with microUSB ports on eBay. Might stash a couple in each vehicle.

I read once they were good for keeping backups of important documents,records,pictures,and other stuff I cant see much communication use coming from them in many scenarios and even if so not for long because most scenarios the government will be trying to sieze every bit of power they can over the people (limited travel and communication for sure)

Not even going that far. We have ice storms and tornadoes knocking out power.
